Torque & Thrust Stand for 8–20HP UAV Engines

Collaborator: Omid Ghader

Objective: Design and construct a test stand for UAV motors (8–20HP), targeting agricultural spraying drones.

Problem Statement: Need for precise measurement and optimization of engine performance to improve UAV efficiency and reliability.

Role: Led the design, development, and construction. Conducted engine performance testing and analysis.

Team Collaboration: Worked with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians.

Tools and Software: CATIA V5, SolidWorks, AutoCAD. Used for design, simulation, and analysis.

Methods: Applied mechanical design, fluid mechanics, material science. Integrated S-type load cells (50 kg capacity) for torque and thrust measurement.

Challenges & Solutions: Calibration and measurement accuracy improved via iterative testing.

Results: Built a reliable stand for precise torque and thrust measurement, contributing to optimized UAV engine performance.
